West Hartford boasts a strong retail and service business network, dynamic shopping and dining districts, manufacturing and industrial areas. You will find one-of-a-kind products and services in each of our business districts: Bishops Corner, Park Road, Corbins Corner, Design District on New Park Avenue, Elmwood and West Hartford Center.

The Bishops Corner Neighborhood Association (BCNA) is a not-for-profit organization comprised of local residents, businesses, non-profits, and advocates for the Bishops Corner Neighborhood of West Hartford. Specifically, our goals include: beautification of Bishops Corner, increased pedestrian and bicycle safety, to facilitate communication with residents, businesses and not-for-profits, and play an active role in redevelopment projects in Bishops Corner.

The Design District of West Hartford is a not-for-profit association made up of trusted, knowledgeable professionals who offer exceptional products and superior service in home remodeling, design, fitness, wellness, media, retail, food, and hospitality. The Design District proudly represents a growing membership of diverse business owners who are dedicated to attracting new businesses to the 06110 zip code with a goal of contributing to neighborhood improvement through brand awareness, economic development, streetscaping, and beautification projects. Named Economic Driver of the Year for 2020 by the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce, the Design District is proud to be at the forefront of revitalization in West Hartford.

The Elmwood Business Association is a not-for-profit organization made up of business owners and representatives from the Elmwood section of West Hartford. At monthly meetings, members discuss activity in the area including police, government, community and business related issues. Representatives from the Town and State government are frequently in attendance.

The Park Road Association is a not-for-profit organization made up of businesses, property owners, residents and individuals. It’s an advocate for the neighborhood and interacts with state and local government as needed to benefit of the neighborhood. The Association is involved in many activities which address safety, business promotion and quality of life issues.

Members get to share their views at monthly meetings at which they also receive updates from the West Hartford Police Department and other governmental agencies. The Park Road Association is an affiliate of the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce. Major annual events include the Park Road Parade, the Celebrity Breakfast and Community Clean-Up Walks.
