This festive family 5K tradition welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities to celebrate the season as a community in the CLA Blue Back Mitten Run. The 3.1-mile road race winds through West Hartford’s decorated neighborhoods and past festive shop windows.

5K participants earn a holiday inspired warm knit beanie and enjoy delicious holiday cookies post-race in Blue Back Square. Register early (by October 15) and receive a personalized race bib with your name!

Bring the kids to participate in the HMF FitKids run – a ½ mile or one mile dash to Blue Back Square.

In the spirit of holiday season giving, collections will be taken for NEW winter hats, gloves, and mittens to benefit neighbors in need. Donations of cash/checks will also be taken to support the Town That Cares Fund.

Pre-race activities will take place on the lawn, east of the West Hartford Town Hall, with the race starting on the adjacent Burr Street. The finish line and post race festivities will take place in the heart of Blue Back Square on Isham Road.

10:45 AM – 12:00 PM: Blue Back Square Gazebo, Isham Road, West Hartford

11:30 AM: Award Ceremony
